Visit Jeju - The mysterious Road and Dragon Head Rock.

Soon after we reach the airport, it is almost 3.45pm. Without wasting any time, David brought us to visit the mysterious Road, it is a place where you can experierence the unusual phenomenon of your coach moving up of slope with engine off.

Nothing too fancy about this place, but it is a place where grativity is working in opposite manner with steep slope.

Here are how we do some trying....

Time is too short for the first day, we spent only 20 min, and we moved on to another spot called The Dragon Head Rock - a lava formation of a Dragon Head jutting out from the sea. It is a place when hot lava was frozen from sea bed and shape into various shape like Dragon Head and Tiger head.

Seoul-Far-So-Good for third day!

On the third day, 27th July, morning, we checked out Oriental hotel and had our quick breakfast. We then headed to Jeju International Airport.

We had our first surprise for the day,BAD WEATHER! all our flight was stopped from flying to Seoul, jeju was badly hit by the summer rain and fog, all the flight was ordered to be landed. Since we could not do much, we walked around the airport and stay in an internet cafe provided by airport.

We've waited for 1 and 1/2 hour and we finally get to board a flight on 10.15am. Here comes our second surprise, we were told that Korean Air KE2232 was overbooked and the airline has overlooked 7 of our teammate. It was a shocked to everyone whereby any 7 of us has to stay put in Jeju island until the next flight taking off in 11am.

It was a huh-hah then, without much delay, David intervened in and liase with the airline to get possible boarding for everyone. The effort was wasted, Alice, Tang, paul, Ben, pauline and two other folk was forced to stay put at jeju until next the flight. We came to agreed, 23 person will take a first flight to Seoul and another 7 will take the second flight on 11am, the conflict has finally put it aside.

It was a tiring day and many of us started to murmur about the breakdown in our itinerary. Almost an hour later, 23 of us reached and waited a Incheon airport. Weather at seoul are cooling and windy, beared with the starving feeling, we were patiently waiting for our 7 fellow teammate to be return.

An hour later, the 7 returns and united, we were then told to board the bus and heading to our first destination in Seoul, Everland. It was indeed a frustrated moment when everyone has to bear with the starveness even after long waiting for the transit. The travelling distance to everland takes approximately 90min.

Without much traffic jam, we reaches Everland in around 1 hour time. The first thing everyone does was get our stomach filled up. As expected, foods are not cheap in Everland, minimum spending on a rice meal was about 8900 won, which is equivalent to SGD15.

We don have choice but to have a quick meal. Such a pain to us.

We were then exploring the huge everland, the first program we found was a presentation of Amazon. it is about an aerobatical performance. The second was an amusing Sea-lion performance. Third, we found a comic artist and i subscribed a comical portrait for Fun. Times flies, it was 5.15pm after we got our portrait done.

It was only 45min left and we really could not do much. We snap-shot few picture and meet everyone at 6pm and heading for our dinner for the day.

Our Che-ju-Do exploration

1 st day before jeju-do

It was a windy, cloudy morning. Flying from Changi Airport with the Korean Airline KE652, we landed in Seoul's Incheon International Airport at korea time 7.50am. Our first impression toward Seoul's most reputable airport, we do not feel "wow" for the facility, in fact, we find it more simplier than changi airport.

Nevertheless, it was well maintained and you will be suprise that it was much cleaner than we expected.

Like many other tourist, we could not understandstand or speak single korean, we were asked to queue at line in the custom office where it is specifically allocated for foreigner tourist, we spent about 20min on the custom clearance and about 15 picking up our luggages.

Upon arrival, we were first greeted by our tour guide by local, David Goh, a Korea chinese who has been resided in Seoul for years. He then help us to board onto a local bus for a transit to domestic airport in Kimpo.

Before jeju-do, we had a slight delay on our flight to jeju, David decided to showed us around in seoul and spent an hour for our lunch.

We then tooked a bus to a famous hill site at seoul called Nam-Sam, where DeaJunggum was filmed. From this place, we could see a high rise Seoul tower from a distance. It was nothing but just another sight seeing spot for tourist. We were lucky to meet up with two Korean doll dress up in traditional costume. Our first meal was the korean's bi-bim-bab, or so called stone rice and a barbeque pork on hot plate. It was a mixture of pearl rice, shreded vegetables, dry sea weed, meat and sesame seed, grilled on a pre-heated stone bowl.

the water flows from underneath ground for drinking and is is chilling cold.

special clay made pot to keep kimchi-a preserved korean salad vege. it is also used to keep preserved black bean paste.

Perhaps everyone were hungry, we ate our fill like a starving dinasour. As usual, i love to have a hot coffee after my meal, i paid 300 won(SGD0.50) for a cup of coffee from vending machine. To my dismay, the coffee turn out to be a small cup, it is almost as half size as i could buy in Singapore.

We move on, spent another 10min to reach Kimpo. We took almost 1 hour flight to jeju island at 2.45pm flight after wasting so much time in Seoul. In the arrival time, Jeju is foggy and full of mist. It tooks us about another 10 mins to our first hotel, the "Oriental", a 3 star hotel close to air port.
